Aerospace Industry benefits from new Dust Extraction system for Tungsten Electrode Grinding Machines
Friday, 17 July 2009

A new Tungsten Electrode Grinding machine with vacuum extraction facility has been released for the Aerospace Industry, by Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Limited (HFT).

Much of the welding of critical components in the Aerospace Industry, is carried out by the TIG/GTAW welding process using a Tungsten Electrode to generate and move the welding arc.

This welding process requires the Tungsten Electrodes to be kept sharpened and pointed with an accurately finished tip, to produce a consistent and reliable arc.

Sharpening of Tungsten Electrodes releases undesirable dust into the atmosphere and in the case of the usual Thoriated Tungsten Electrodes, the grinding dust contains particles of radio-toxic, carcinogenic Thoria.

This potentially dangerous dust can now be collected and disposed of in complete safety.

This more comprehensive Tungsten Grinder, has all the features of the standard machine with the added extraction system.

HFT maintains a high reputation with its no quibble instant replacement guarantee on all parts, including the Motor, which is guaranteed for life.

More information can be obtained from the company.
