Lauak Group continues its aggressive growth strategy with the acquisition of Bombardier's Tubing & Systems activities. This complements Lauak's strength and accelerates its growth with the broadening of increased capabilities, capacity, and a foothold in North America. The international operation directly suports growth in America.
A "win-win" deal
Lauak's acquisition of Bombardier's Tubing & Systems activities includes a Tubing Centre located in Mirabel Canada. Along with the signing of a multi-year supply agreement centred on these activities, the Lauak Group continues to fortify its already strong and positive relationship within the aerospace industry, as a top leading partner with production and development acitivites, This transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including administrative approvals and obtaining third-party consents. Completion is expected by Q3, 2018.
"It is a win-win decision carefully designed by both companies. This operation allows each of us to focus on our core business. By reinforcing the Tubing & Systems activity, of which we already have, in-house, a great expertise, we can now develop a new business unit," said Jean-Marc Charritton, Lauak Group chairman.
The wide range of the Bombardier Tubing & Systems products bring strategic benefit to Lauak's capabilities in its Aerostructures and Aero Engines Parts activities. Lauak will establish the Mirabel tubing centre as its "Center of Excellence," providing enhanced solutions to the aerospace industry.
