PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: Loar Group, Inc.
Loar Group, Inc. (Loar) announced today that Pacific Piston Ring Co., Inc. (PPR) is the latest addition to its family of companies.
Headquartered in Culver City, California (USA), PPR produces piston and sealing rings for the aerospace end market. The majority of PPR's rings are engineered and manufactured to meet complicated and discreet specifications for use in a number of applications including: pneumatic / hydraulic valves and actuators, landing gear, auxiliary power units, compressors, bleed air valves and controls, pressurization systems, de-icing systems, turbine engines and retainer rings. PPR's rings can be found on a number of legacy and new production aircraft across the commercial, general aviation and military end markets.
Dirkson Charles, CEO of Loar Group, stated, "PPR fits well with our strategy of adding niche capabilities and proprietary products to our portfolio while continuing to add to Loar's overall diversity of product applications across a broad variety of aircraft platforms. As an organization we deliver greater than 50% of our sales in the aftermarket. PPR will further strengthen this attribute and strategic focus of Loar." continued Mr. Charles.
Mike Shannon, President of Pacific Piston Ring, noted, "this business was originally founded by my grandfather and has been a part of our family for over 99 years. As such, it was important for us to find the right partner and we feel Loar Group is a great steward that is well prepared to lead PPR for hopefully the next 100 years."
