Issued by: Lamsco West, Inc.
Lamsco West, Inc. is pleased to announce it has been selected by The Boeing Company to support its nationwide team to compete for the U.S. Air Force's new fleet of aerial refueling tankers. Based in Santa Clarita, Lamsco West, Inc. has been supplying engineered details, standards, laminated sheet and aerospace parts categorized as shims, stampings and flat pattern parts to Boeing for over 40 years.
By joining with Boeing to become part of the United States Tanker team, Lamsco West, Inc. will become eligible to increase orders if Boeing is awarded the U.S. Air Force tanker contract in mid-2010. Lamsco West, Inc. currently makes engineered details, standards, and laminated sheet for Boeing's 737, 747, 757, 767, 777 and 787 programs.
"We're honored that Boeing has chosen us to help build the next fleet of tanker refueling aircraft for the Air Force," said Steve Griffith, Lamsco West, Inc.'s Vice President. "The advanced Boeing tanker will support our troops, save taxpayer dollars and create much-needed jobs in Santa Clarita and communities across California."
Boeing works with over 5,800 companies in California alone, paying more than $6.3 billion for services and products. If Boeing is awarded the contract, it would support at least 50,000 new and existing jobs across the United States.
Lamsco West, Inc. is proud to help Boeing deliver an American- designed and built, combat-ready tanker featuring max capability at lowest cost.
