Modernisation of production within the framework of the State Program is completed at AAK "Progress"
Thursday, 10 December 2020

In AAK "Progress" named after N.I. Sazykin of the Russian Helicopters holding (part of Rostec State Corporation), a solemn ceremony of launching production modernisation facilities into commercial operation within the framework of the RF State Program "Development of the Defense Industrial Complex" (GP OPK) "Technical re-equipment (reconstruction) of AAK Progress" production took place.

As part of the state program, the enterprise carried out work on the construction of a protective coatings workshop and reconstruction of a heat treatment workshop for parts, a central testing workshop, a composite materials workshop, mechanical production, a production preparation centre, a compressor station, and a technological boiler room. The total area of the reconstruction was over 56,000 square meters.

The final and one of the most difficult objects of modernisation of production was the reconstruction of the machining production, where today all machining shops are gathered under one roof - mechanical, metalwork and welding, mechanical assembly, mechanical workshop for programmed parts processing and a workshop for machining large and medium parts, as well as a washing area and balancing. To ensure timely fulfillment of the plan, as well as to increase production efficiency, all modern high-performance equipment is connected to the monitoring system for equipment loading and production. The performance indicators of each machine are displayed on special monitors. To optimise logistics flows between production sites, automated storage systems have been installed that provide workpieces and tools.

"The primary tasks of reconstruction and modernisation were to improve working conditions, improve product quality and improve the environmental situation - a lot was done to minimise the harmful impact on the environment. But our most important task was to expand the capabilities of the enterprise through reconstruction and launch new projects: the modernised reconnaissance and strike Ka-52M and the civilian multipurpose Ka-62, as well as the enterprise's participation in cooperation on the production of the Mi-171A3 offshore helicopter, "said Russian Helicopters General Director Andrei Boginsky .

To date, the state inspection of Rostechnadzor has received a conclusion on the compliance of the constructed facilities with the requirements of design documentation, which has a positive conclusion from the Main Department of State Expertise. The administration of the Arsenyevsky urban district issued a permit to commission the production.

In 2021-2023, the company plans to build integrated treatment facilities for storm sewage, take measures to improve the energy efficiency of production and complete the reconstruction of the unit-assembly production. It is also planned to reconstruct the utility rooms to improve the comfort of the staff.
