X-Air now selling factory-direct and seeking new dealers
Tuesday, 23 March 2010

X-Air, manufacturers of the lowest priced LSA in the world, is now selling copies of its versatile aircraft factory direct. They are offering demo flights, flight training, sales and service at their headquarters in Bend, Oregon. The X-Air is being upgraded in numerous ways this spring with no additional cost to the consumer. In addition to establishing themselves as a dealer for the X-Air, the company is planning to establish a number of flight centers around the United States. “We have been selling aircraft through Sportsplanes.com,” said Matt Verdieck, General Manager, “and while we plan to continue that relationship, we are going to expand the number and types of outlets for selling and servicing the X-Air. Ultimately, we hope to see the aircraft on the ramps of numerous flight training operations. Nothing can compete with the economics of flying an X-Air, whether it’s for pleasure or for schooling.” The X-Air is a two-place, high wing tube and fabric aircraft that utilizes Jabiru power. The aircraft has excellent visibility, gentle stall characteristics and predictable handling in all maneuvers required for Sport Pilot and time building flights. It holds its position as the only Light Sport Aircraft in production that is being offered with a nicely equipped base price below $60,000, about one-third the price of the high end LSA designs.
