Thanks to the Belgian participation in the F-16 program decades ago, SONACA achieved an important technological breakthrough, accelerated its expertise and growth and engaged in long-standing relationships with Lockheed Martin and the Belgian companies Asco and Sabca.

With the F-35 program, alongside Lockheed Martin and BAE Systems and in collaboration with Asco and Sabca within the BeLightning joint venture, SONACA will further achieve significant technological steps by carrying out the final assembly of the horizontal tail of the F- 35.
