Soisa Aircraft Interiors, the cabin interiors' specialist, has today announced that it has expanded its capabilities to offer of seat sub assembly solutions at its facility in Chihuahua, Mexico, with a plan to further expand its future services.

Soisa currently provides upholstery and assembly services for over 100 airlines worldwide and partners with all major seat OEMs. The expansion of its capabilities will see the Company provide turnkey solutions for OEMs to include CNC routing of composites panels, foams, sewing of leather and fabric as well as lamination.

Jacobo Mesta, CEO of Soisa, said: “We're focused on helping our customers to meet their operational needs and a significant element of that will always be cost. By nearshoring services for worldwide suppliers and OEMs and bringing their operations to Chihuahua, we anticipate that, on average, we will be able to offer a 40% cost reduction of their operation compared to outsourcing different elements to additional suppliers.”

“By providing a comprehensive range of seat assembly services, we are creating a one-stop-shop which will directly benefit our US based customers. We have invested in our people, and we have the skilled workforce to provide a competitive solution to the market.

Soisa's business model focuses on a nearshoring strategy designed to offer customers improved logistics, minimal lead times for materials, reduced turn-around-times and cost efficiencies. It has, to date, undertaken the first phase transfer of a business class console in three months.

The capacity for these additional services was made possible following the nearshoring of product manufacturing for its customers within the Middle East with the opening of its Dubai facility.

In addition to its in-house capability expansion, Soisa will draw on the skills and expertise within the Chihuahua cluster to provide complete assembly services such as metals, chemical and heat treatment, and soon to come inhouse plastic thermoforming manufacturing.

Soisa specialises in cabin upholstery, offering dress covers, cushions, curtains, carpets, insulation panels, acoustic panels, and VIP Seats. Its services also include hydrographic printing and repairs of interior parts for Airlines and OEMs in the Middle East, North Africa, India, Europe and Asia.
