Holt Integrated Circuits introduces world's smallest octal ARINC 429 line receivers
Wednesday, 2 June 2010

Holt Integrated Circuits, a world leader in data bus IC's for the avionics and military industries, today introduced the world's smallest octal ARINC 429 line receiver. The HI-8448PCx is available in a 7mm x 7mm QFN package and also a 38-pin plastic TSSOP (HI-8448PSx).

Each receiver channel will translate incoming ARINC 429 data bus signals to TTL/CMOS compatible digital outputs. These devices operate from either a 5V or 3.3V supply and have a common mode capability of +/- 5V with respect to ground. Different input resistance versions are available for easy implementation of external lightning protection, allowing the requirements of DO-160F, Level 3, waveforms 3, 4, 5A and 5B to be satisfied.

"Holt Integrated Circuits continues to provide highly integrated, compact and efficient solutions, enabling its customers to reduce board size and cost," said Anthony Murray, Director of Business Development at Holt.
