CPI Aerostructures, Inc. ("CPI Aero(R)") (NYSE Amex: CVU) announced today that it has received a purchase order from a leading global aerospace and defense company to produce aircraft structural assemblies, valued at $3.2 million. Work on this order will commence immediately and deliveries are scheduled to occur over a twelve month period beginning in early 2011.
CPI Aero has received six previous orders for this assembly from the same customer and is currently completing a contract that was awarded in September 2009.
Edward J. Fred, CPI Aero's CEO and President, stated, "With this order, we have received contracts for this product totaling $9.4 million since 2004. We are extremely proud that our past performance has reinforced this customer's confidence in CPI Aero, which has led to this new order."
