PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC)
Despite the ongoing challenges in the global aviation industry, including supply chain restructuring and regional tensions, AIDC still managed to secure new orders worth over NT$8.5 billion in the first quarter of this year (2025), which will contribute to revenue growth over the next six years.
These orders come from several major aerospace companies across Europe, the Americas, and Northeast Asia, covering manufacturing contracts for commercial aircraft components, engine parts, and related modifications and maintenance services.
Since the pandemic, the global supply chain structure has loosened, leading to widespread issues such as material and component shortages, production disruptions, and quality concerns. However, AIDC has capitalized on the opportunity presented by this restructuring, persistently seeking collaboration with international partners. After continuous coordination, the Company’s efforts have begun to yield results.
AIDC Chairman Hu Kai-Hung stated that in recent years, the Company has adhered to strategies such as "expanding revenue sources, reducing costs, and building resilience," successfully navigating the challenges of the pandemic while retaining its workforce, production capacity, and equipment. More recently, AIDC has increased capital investment to broaden its technological capabilities. Since last year, the executive team has been actively pursuing every possible opportunity, and their efforts are now bearing fruit.
AIDC has consistently aligned itself with government industrial policies and actively responded to global structural challenges in the industry. The Company has faced short-term turbulence with courage while maintaining a long-term strategic focus. With the strong order performance in Q1, Chairman Hu emphasized that many more collaborative projects with international partners are currently under negotiation. As new developments arise, the Company will continue to share updates, demonstrating that Taiwan holds a vital position in the global aerospace supply chain.
