Following successful joint participation in Spanish military exercises, “we’ve now signed a formal agreement to advance crewed-uncrewed teaming (MUM-T) capabilities - a major step toward the integration of tactical UAVs into next-generation helicopter operations,” states Eric Freeman, CEO of Alpha Unmanned Systems.
This closer collaboration agreement, supported by European Defence Fund (EDF) projects, will focus on interoperability, mission coordination, and the joint development of advanced concepts for teamed operations.
“We are confident that joining forces between helicopters and drones is essential for improving safety and extending functionalities,” states Luis Martín Díaz, Head of Customers and Programmes at Airbus Helicopters in Spain."
