PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: Solid Aero
Our Talay unmanned aerial vehicle, which we introduced last year, is now before you at IDEF 2025 with its final, production-ready model. Following test flights conducted with the Wing-in-Ground (WIG) effect principle, Talay, which has also successfully proven its free-flight capability by reaching an altitude of 100 meters, will begin preparations for serial production after the completion of sea tests.
Solid Aero will begin the planned test-production activities in cooperation with Yonca Shipyard in the upcoming period. Within the scope of this cooperation, all stages from Talay's fuselage integration to final assembly will be carried out with high-quality standards.
Key features of Talay:
- New Hunter of the Seas: It offers unrivaled performance in the maritime environment with superior speed, range, and a lower signature profile than USV platforms.
- Multi-Role Attack Modes: In addition to standard strike missions, capabilities for gun attacks and assaults on port targets have been integrated with optional munitions configurations.
- Integrated ISR, Deterrence, and Engagement Capability: Thanks to its optical, infrared, and laser sensor payloads, it can undertake intelligence-surveillance-reconnaissance (ISR), deterrence, and direct engagement operations.
- High Speed and Maneuverability: With a maximum speed of up to 200 km/h and maneuverability that allows for a faster reaction than sea platforms, it can rapidly advance on critical targets.
- Low Radar Profile: It can conduct operations without being detected thanks to its low-radar cross-section (low-RCS) design that leaves no sonar signature.
- Easy Portability: Its foldable structure and lightweight body offer the possibility of rapid deployment from different platforms.
- Smart Target Teaching: Precise mission execution is possible in "teach and repeat" mode with advanced data links and pre-loaded coordinates.
Don't miss this unique platform that is shaping the future of the defense industry.
