PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: Salient Motion
Salient Motion, an aerospace and defense component supplier, will showcase its modular actuation systems and motion control technologies at Dubai Airshow 2025.
The company will exhibit at the Boeing booth, where Founder and CEO Vishaal Mali and his team will showcase actuation systems for aircraft seating, cargo handling and galley power supply. The demonstrations will highlight how Salient Motion's software-driven design approach addresses supply chain challenges in commercial aviation.
Mali will deliver a keynote address, “Breaking the Mold: An Outsider’s Approach to Aerospace Innovation,” on Nov. 19 at 11:10 a.m. Salient Motion’s Troy Thompson will participate in a Boeing Ventures panel discussion, “Catalysts of Flight: Partnerships Powering Aerospace Innovation,” at 11:25 a.m.
“The Dubai Airshow is an opportunity to show how a strong focus on certifiable hardware and software can fundamentally reshape aerospace development,” said Mali. “By reusing certified software and hardware across multiple actuation platforms, we’re not only cutting certification costs and lead times but also giving OEMs and airlines a faster path to integrate cutting-edge technology. Our model enables them to innovate without being constrained by legacy suppliers or decade-long certification cycles.”
Salient Motion’s motion control platform transforms flight-certified components into reusable modules, allowing faster, more efficient production than legacy suppliers. The modular design philosophy positions Salient Motion to become one of the youngest companies with parts installed on commercial aircraft.
Mali will be available for media, analyst and customer meetings.
Recent Momentum Drives Rapid Growth
Since its founding in 2022, Salient Motion has grown to over 35 full-time employees, secured partnerships with more than a dozen customers—including a major commercial aircraft manufacturer—and is already flying on active military platforms. The company is expanding with a new assembly facility in Torrance, Calif., and is underway on its first FAA-certified actuation system for Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
Salient Motion’s proprietary modular motion control architecture reduces FAA certification approval times by up to 50% through intelligent code reuse and component standardization. By shifting complexity from hardware to software, the company creates certifiable “building blocks” that OEMs and defense primes can integrate to lower development costs, shorten timelines, and accelerate innovation across both defense and commercial programs.
