Nexteam finalises its merger with the ATG Group
Monday, 17 July 2023

Nexteam, a major industrial player in the aerospace and defense sector, specializing in foundry work, machining, and sheet metal fabrication, announces the completion of its acquisition of the ATG Group, an expert in sheet metal and wiring subcontracting.

With complementary activities and individually recognized technical expertise, the merger of the two groups will allow Nexteam to strengthen its Sheet-Metal division and deploy combined know-how. As part of this transaction, the ATG Group subsidiaries will be integrated into Nexteam's sheet metal division, which is expected to generate revenue of approximately €50 million by 2023.

This new entity, in which Tikehau Capital remains a key shareholder, demonstrates the management team's commitment to contributing to the consolidation of the sector while retaining its technical expertise. Nexteam, which will reach a turnover of €300 million in 2023, plans to quickly achieve €450 million in turnover, driven by the production rates announced by its clients.

“The completion of this merger will allow our Group to strengthen its Sheet-Metal division. It is part of our consolidation strategy, which aims to provide the complementary expertise and critical mass expected by our clients,” emphasizes Ludovic Asquini, President of the Nexteam Group.

“Joining the Nexteam Group will significantly boost our development while strengthening our technical expertise. The complementarity of our activities and businesses are major assets for meeting our future challenges,” explains Thierry Camerin, President of the ATG Group.

“We are pleased to continue supporting Nexteam, in which Tikehau Capital has been a shareholder since 2018. In the context of a strong recovery in the aerospace industry, the merger of Nexteam and ATG should enable the group to accelerate its growth trajectory and strengthen its leadership in sheet metal expertise,” stated Emmanuel Laillier, Head of Private Equity at Tikehau Capital.
