Airbus and Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency have completed a HTeaming flight campaign at a Singapore airbase, pairing an RSAF H225M helicopter with an Airbus Flexrotor uncrewed aerial system for the first time.
January trials proved the helicopter could securely access real-time data from the UAS, extending visual range and improving mission safety during a simulated search and rescue mission.
Airbus designed and integrated the HTeaming system into the H225M, enabling the crew to receive live data while retaining command and control of the UAS.
“The complexity of modern operations demands solutions that can adapt in real time,” says Ang Jer Meng, Director Air Systems at DSTA.
“The successful teaming is a game-changer for modern tactical operations,” adds Olivier Michalon, Executive Vice President of Global Business at Airbus Helicopters.
