Pratt & Whitney opens Morocco site and expands in Poland
Thursday, 30 April 2026
The dual investment targets higher output of turbine and compressor parts as demand grows across commercial and defence programmes.

Pratt & Whitney has opened a manufacturing facility in Morocco and is investing $100 million in Poland as part of a wider expansion of its global engine production network.

The 130,000 sq ft site in Nouaceur’s Midparc Industrial Zone will produce detailed static and structural machined parts for Pratt & Whitney Canada aircraft engines, including the PT6 engine family. The facility is expected to create approximately 200 jobs by 2030.

Since breaking ground in 2024, the Morocco facility has progressed from construction to operational readiness, including workforce recruitment, technical training and installation of advanced machining equipment. The site has been designed around lean manufacturing principles and advanced digital systems.

Maria Della Posta, president, Pratt & Whitney Canada, says: “This site is a strategic extension of our global production network and demonstrates our commitment to building resilient supply chains worldwide that will enable us to increase production for our customers.”

In Rzeszów, Pratt & Whitney will construct a facility for processing isothermally forged parts, including heat treatment, sonic machining and inspection operations. The investment supports recently announced spending on a seventh isothermal forging press at Pratt & Whitney’s Columbus Forge facility in Georgia.

The capital projects are expected to be fully operational by 2028 and enable a 30% increase in output of critical engine parts such as rotating compressor and turbine disks.

Piotr Owsicki, general manager of Pratt & Whitney in Rzeszów, says: “This investment reflects our continued commitment to increase production capacity for our customers and deliver more, faster.”
