Anchor nuts are fixed-retention fastening elements installed into airframe structure to provide a pre-positioned, captive threaded receptacle for bolts or screws, eliminating the need for a separate spanner on the blind side. Manufactured to AN, MS, and NAS standards in corrosion-resistant steel, titanium, and aluminium alloys, they are secured by riveting or spot-welding to brackets, frames, and sheet-metal assemblies across primary and secondary aerospace structure.
