Aramid-reinforced composites cover structural and ballistic-grade materials incorporating para-aramid fibres — such as Kevlar and Twaron — in woven, unidirectional, or non-crimp fabric forms, consolidated with thermoset or thermoplastic matrices via autoclave cure, resin transfer moulding (RTM), or wet lay-up, and used in aerospace applications requiring high specific tensile strength, impact resistance, and low areal density.
