Clip-on nuts are spring-tension fastening elements designed to snap onto sheet-metal flanges, panel edges, or structural members without requiring pre-drilled nut-plate installations, providing a captive threaded receptacle for mating screws or bolts. Manufactured from corrosion-resistant steel, aluminium alloy, or titanium to AMS and NAS material specifications, they are typically formed from spring-temper strip stock and may incorporate self-locking features or MIL-SPEC finishes such as cadmium plating or anodising.
