Coatings encompasses the full range of applied surface treatments used in aerospace manufacturing to impart functional properties to airframe structures, engine components, interiors and avionic assemblies, including organic and inorganic film-forming systems, thermal barrier coatings (TBCs), high-build primers, and specialised topcoats applied via spray, dip, brush or physical vapour deposition (PVD) processes to substrates including aluminium alloys, titanium, composites and steel.
