Composite sandwich panels for aerospace applications comprise two thin, high-stiffness face sheets — typically CFRP, GFRP, or aluminium — bonded to a lightweight structural core using film or paste adhesives, processed via autoclave cure, out-of-autoclave (OoA) press moulding, or vacuum-bag consolidation to achieve high specific bending stiffness and damage tolerance.
