Fuel tank sealants are polysulfide- and polyurethane-based compounds — including PR-1422, PR-1776, and equivalent MIL-PRF-81733 and MIL-S-8802 qualified materials — applied by brush, extrusion, or faying-surface methods to integral and bladder fuel cell structures, providing fluid-resistant, flexible sealing across joints, fastener holes, and seams in metallic and composite airframe fuel bays.
