Knobs are manually operated control interface components used throughout aircraft cockpit, cabin, and systems panels to provide rotary or push-pull input for functions such as avionics tuning, lighting adjustment, and environmental control selection. They are produced in aluminium alloy, engineering thermoplastics, or composite materials, and may incorporate knurling, D-bore or splined shaft interfaces, detent mechanisms, and co-moulded legends or laser-engraved markings compliant with MIL-SPEC and AS standards.
