Plain washers for aerospace applications are flat, annular discs manufactured from materials including aluminium alloys, titanium, stainless steel, and CRES to AS, NAS, and MIL-spec standards, produced by stamping, blanking, or CNC machining to tight dimensional tolerances, and used to distribute bearing loads, prevent surface damage, and provide controlled clamp-up beneath bolt heads and nuts in structural and mechanical assemblies.
