Plastic grommets are non-metallic edging and sealing inserts used to protect wiring, cables, tubing, and conduits where they pass through airframe bulkheads, panels, and structural members, preventing abrasion and chafing against sharp edges. Manufactured from engineering polymers such as PEEK, nylon, and PTFE, they are produced via injection moulding to meet AIMS, NAS, and AS specifications for dielectric strength, temperature resistance, and flammability.
