Self-Aligning Washers
Self-aligning washers are spherically seated fastener components designed to compensate for angular misalignment between a fastener bearing surface and an out-of-plane or non-perpendicular mating surface, preventing uneven load distribution and bending stress in the bolt shank. Manufactured from titanium, corrosion-resistant steel (CRES), or aluminium alloys to aerospace material specifications, they are commonly produced by precision CNC machining or cold forming and qualified to AS or NAS standards.
