Set screws are headless threaded fasteners used in aerospace assemblies to secure rotating components — such as collars, gears, and pulleys — against axial or rotational movement on shafts, conforming to AN, MS, and NAS standards and produced from corrosion-resistant steel, titanium, or A286 alloy using thread-rolling and CNC screw-machining processes, with drive configurations including hex socket, spline, and slotted recesses.
