Airborne transceivers encompass combined transmitter–receiver units designed for two-way voice and data communication across VHF, UHF, HF and SHF frequency bands, covering the RF front-end circuitry, synthesiser stages, modulation and demodulation processing, and DO-178C/DO-254-compliant embedded firmware, together with ARINC 429 and MIL-STD-1553 data bus interfacing and TCAS-compatible signal handling.
