Liebherr-Aerospace and AVIC member Landing Gear Advanced Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (LAMC) are nearing the foundation of their joint venture. Both companies agreed on the parameters and defined the exact scope of responsibility as well as the workshare for each partner. The final step to submit all documents to the Chinese Authorities, which will allow the formal incorporation of the joint venture, has already been made.

The new company, which will be based in Changsha (China), is set to develop and manufacture landing gear systems for the Chinese aviation industry as well as the international aviation market. Its first project will be the landing gear for the COMAC C919 aircraft. Moreover, the joint venture will work on the landing gear systems for the ARJ21 and for other programs in the years to come.

The agreement for the joint venture had been signed by Liebherr-Aerospace and LAMC at Paris Air Show in June 2011.
