Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has purchased Pacelab Cabin, PACE's standard tool for aircraft cabin configuration, to support its global sales operation. The knowledge-based engineering software enables sales teams to develop cabin configurations with great speed in order to present prospective customers with validated layout alternatives and competitor benchmarks.
Compared to standard CAD systems, Pacelab Cabin yields significant time savings by automating lengthy, repetitive tasks and instantly highlighting design flaws and certification violations. The immediate layout update is particularly useful in live presentations where on-the-fly modifications can be devised in close consultation with the customer. In addition, sales teams can benefit from the software's advanced 3D visualization and reporting capabilities which provide valuable input for commercial proposals and other sales documents.
PACE has been a software supplier to Embraer for many years with the company's flight performance suite Pacelab Mission/SCAP widely used in sales offices in São José dos Campos, Fort Lauderdale, Paris, Singapore and Beijing. "Our Commercial and Corporate Aviation divisions routinely conduct route network and airfield performance studies with Pacelab software. When it came to selecting a system to support our cabin layout process we evaluated several alternatives and again a PACE product was the best option. Pacelab Cabin has a proven track record, and we are happy to improve the efficiency of our sales process with such a reliable tool", explains Luiz S. Chiessi, Vice President Market Intelligence – Airline Market.
