The recent lease approval marks an important step forward for Daher’s footprint in the North American aviation market.

Daher has secured a long-term lease for its aerostructures facility at Witham Field in Stuart, Florida, marking a milestone in its North American strategy. The extended-duration lease, approved by Martin County’s Board of County Commissioners, enables Daher to continue producing large airframe components, or aerostructures, as a Tier 1 supplier for major aircraft manufacturers.

Since taking over the Stuart plant in July 2022, Daher has invested millions of dollars in employee training, equipment upgrades and inventory improvements to enhance its production capabilities. The 44-acre facility currently employs 700 people and covers approximately 440,000 square feet of production and support activities. The newly approved lease provides opportunities for additional enhancements, including Daher’s plan to establish a final assembly line at the site for its TBM and Kodiak turboprop aircraft. This expansion would mark the first production of the state-of-the-art aeroplanes in Martin County.

Daher Chairman and CEO Didier Kayat says: “As a family-owned company, Daher places a very high value on business development and employment stability in the regions where we’re present, and we look forward to a beneficial partnership with Martin County, the city of Stuart and the state of Florida for many years to come.”

Stephen J. Stasiak, Daher’s General Manager at the Stuart facility, adds: “As we look to the future, the Witham Field location will offer a full scope of employment opportunities, ranging from aerostructures and aircraft assemblers to positions in quality and management. The excellent support that Daher receives at the local and regional levels is a true motivator for us as we look to the future.”
