Embraer partners with FPL for Melbourne solar energy project

The onsite installation, featuring over 1,900 solar panels, will support Embraer’s goal of running all global sites on renewable energy by 2030.

Embraer is working with Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) to develop its first and largest onsite solar energy project at its Melbourne, Florida campus. The installation, featuring over 1,900 solar panels, will generate up to 1,800 MWh per year, offsetting most of the energy needed to power the company's Customer Center facility.

The project is part of Embraer’s wider commitment to achieving 100% renewable energy across its operations by 2030. Since announcing its environmental targets in 2021, the company has also increased its use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) at its Melbourne site.

The solar installation is expected to be operational by the end of 2025.
