The G400 departed Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport at 9:04 a.m. and returned 2 hours, 54 minutes later, having reached a speed of Mach 0.85 and altitude of 41,000 feet/12,497 metres.

10 April The G700 cabin supplemental type certifications officially approve the interior outfitting of the G700 and its cabin air purification system.

Production methods were designed with the Savannah-based research and development team and include advanced automation, 3D model designs, and robotic and bonding techniques.

3 April The G700 cabin altitude, already the lowest in business aviation, was further reduced to 2,840ft while flying at 41,000ft.

The G700's FAA certification also confirmed two new performance improvements: a balanced field length takeoff distance of 5,995 feet and a landing distance of 3,150ft, both shorter than originally anticipated.

Gulfstream expands next-generation manufacturing facility

The G400, G500 and G600 have commonalities that increase manufacturing efficiencies. These mean that Gulfstream has the flexibility to easily expand production lines to meet the growing demand.

13 September The G700 features the most spacious cabin in the industry and can fly 6,650 nautical miles/12,316 kilometers at Mach 0.90 or 7,750 nm/14,353 km at Mach 0.85, and its maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935 makes it the fastest aircraft in the Gulfstream fleet.

Pearl engine earns certification from FAA

During the comprehensive indoor and outdoor test programme, the engine demonstrated its performance operating at sea-level and altitude conditions on both conventional jet fuel and 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel.

The G800 can fly 8,000 nautical miles at Mach 0.85, thanks to the combination of the Gulfstream-designed, high-speed wing and all-new Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines. It is the company's eighth new aircraft in ten years.
