The power and cooling system demonstrator surpassed key milestones, proving its ability to support next-generation aircraft systems and wider military and commercial applications.
Supported by Intel's Atom x6400E, Perigon will deliver 20 times the processing power of Collins' existing flight control computers and enable capabilities such as fly-by-wire and autonomous flight control.
Collins Aerospace will supply the DEFIANT X with armoured pilot, cabin crew and troop seats. And its Perigon flight control computer will tackle the helicopter's utility management, prognostic health and autonomy.
