Crane Aerospace & Electronics selected to supply brake control system for Otto Aerospace's Phantom 3500

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, part of the Aerospace & Advanced Technologies segment of Crane Company, is supplying an innovative Brake Control System (BCS) for Otto Aerospace's Phantom 3500 business jet.

Crane A&E is collaborating with Otto Aerospace to provide a BCS solution that leverages Crane A&E's highly modular and adaptable Standard Systems Architecture BCS. This approach provides industry-leading anti-skid braking performance and pedigree for safe and effective landing at an optimised schedule and cost for Crane A&E customers.

Crane A&E is an industry-leader in brake control solutions for commercial and defence aircraft. In 1947, Crane A&E's heritage brand, Hydro-Aire, partnered with Boeing to deliver the industry's first anti-skid braking system. Today, Crane A&E brake control systems are flying on thousands of aircraft around the globe, helping aircraft stop every 1.2 seconds.

For Otto Aerospace, the partnership with Crane A&E adds a proven, flight-critical capability to the Phantom 3500 programme. The aircraft's ability to operate from smaller airports typically inaccessible to conventional business jets places a premium on braking performance, and Crane A&E's Standard Systems Architecture BCS delivers that performance in a compact, weight-efficient package aligned with the programme's exacting efficiency standards.
