Solar Atmospheres of California (SCA) is now an approved supplier of Parker Hannifin Corporation, Parker Aerospace division and Northrop Grumman. Parker has qualified Solar to provide heat treating services on of a wide range of materials used in the aerospace industry including: all steels, titanium and beryllium copper. SCA is also permitted to perform brazing, hardness and micro-hardness testing. Northrop Grumman has also approved SCA to provide similar services.
These accomplishments come on the heels of a successful AS9100 Rev. C / ISO9001:2008 Surveillance Audit. In addition, Solar California is Nadcap accredited and Boeing approved. SCA has also run their first Rolls Royce part under conditional approval.
"In an effort to expand the number of companies we can serve, SCA is quickly racking up quality approvals. We are happy to add Parker Aerospace and Northrop Grumman to the list. The fact that we have achieved so many quality milestones in such a short amount of time is a testament to our daily pursuit of excellence. We are currently working on other prime aerospace approvals to better serve the industry on the West Coast," explains SCA Quality Manager, Michael Moffit.
