L-3 GH-3900 ESIS certified for new production King Air C90 aircraft
Tuesday, 21 May 2013

L-3 Aviation Products (AP) announced today that the Beechcraft Corporation has certified and is now delivering the L-3 GH-3900™ Electronic Standby Instrument System (ESIS) for installation on the King Air C90 line of production aircraft. The C90 joins the King Air 350 and 250 models in Beechcraft's offering of the GH ESIS product line.

“L-3's strong relationship with Beechcraft spans decades,” said Ralph DeMarco, vice president of sales and marketing for L-3 Aviation Products. “The rugged line of King Airs has been consistently updated to reflect state-of-the-art technology and L-3 is proud to be part of this ongoing evolution.”

Designed to Level A software and hardware standards, the GH-3900 ESIS is capable of satisfying airworthiness requirements for almost any transport category fixed- or rotary-wing aircraft. Rendering all the important cues on a sunlight-readable, three-inch display, the instrument is a more precise and information-rich standby than traditional analog instruments. With a customizable layout, the GH-Series standby instruments can be modified to fit a wide range of primary systems, giving pilots a familiar reference for flying the aircraft. Hardware enhancements include a variety of air data and heading input selections, as well as optional built-in accelerometers and a non-ITAR Night Vision Goggle (NVG) compatible solution.
