PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: Astronics Ballard Technology
Rockwell Collins selected Astronics Corporation's Astronics Ballard Technology, as the preferred vendor for avionics databus test products under a long-term enterprise sourcing agreement. Astronics Ballard Technology is a leader in the development and manufacture of avionics databus interface products and wholly-owned by Astronics Corporation, a leading provider of advanced technologies for the global aerospace and defense industries.
Astronics Ballard Technology designs and manufactures reliable test and simulation interfaces for many avionics databus protocols, including MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, ARINC 708, serial, discrete and analog I/O. When paired with Ballard's CoPilot, an industry-leading test & analysis software, the interfaces provide an easy and powerful way to interact with avionics databuses.
Jon Neal, Vice President and General Manager of Ballard Technology, commented, “Rockwell Collins is a market leader in avionics systems development and a key customer of Ballard Technology. We have enjoyed a long history of collaboration with Rockwell Collins on many successful projects and feel that their awarding this enterprise-wide sourcing agreement to Ballard is a testament to our engineering capabilities, product quality and customer focus.”
