CEFIVAL, leader in the manufacturing of profiles and rings dedicated to aeronautical and nuclear applications is in the foreground

On the 29th September, Cefival has inaugurated its new extrusion press which performances are the outcome of ten years of work. The press productivity had doubled offering an improvement of the product straightness and a better eccentricity for the hollow products. It allows a wider product range and optimum working conditions. It is the most modern press in the world.

CEFIVAL S.A is a subsidiary from the CALVI Italian Group, world leader in the manufacturing of special steel profiles. Today, this group achieves sales of over 400 M €, that is over ten times more than 6 years ago. In 1999, the Italian company CALVI appeared in France with the take over of 51 % of the shares of CEFIVAL alongside the historical shareholder VALLOUREC. The arrival of the CALVI Group has enabled CEFIVAL to set forth on an ambitious campaign of capital investments whilst refocusing company strategy on high added-value products and in particular those for the aeronautical and nuclear sectors. CEFIVAL is one is one of the main suppliers for Airbus and Boeing. The company has became a world wide reference for the manufacturing of engine rings (above all for the Snecma company) and also for profiles in stainless steels and titanium for aircraft frame.
