Dassault Falcon Jet to equip demonstration aircraft with EVAS
Friday, 8 May 2009

EVASWorldwide of Mahwah NJ, the dedicated international distributor of the Emergency Vision Assurance System (EVAS), finalized an agreement with Dassault Falcon Jet Corp. to equip all of Dassault Falcon Jet's demonstration aircraft with EVAS. Dassault Falcon Jet currently offers EVAS as optional equipment on all new aircraft.

Dassault Falcon Jet is the manufacturer of the Falcon business jet with the Falcon 7x being the newest model added to their product line. The family of Falcon jets currently in production include the tri-jets such as the Falcon 900EX EASy and the new 7X, as well as the twin-engine Falcon 2000 LX and 2000EX EASy. Currently, EVASWorldwide has received approval and is certified by the FAA, EASA and Transport Canada for the entire Falcon business jet product including the new 7X. EVAS has received FAA, Transport Canada, and EASA approval for the 7X..

EVASWorldwide has delivered over 3000 EVAS Cockpit Smoke Displacement systems, and is the winner of the Aerospace Industry Award for Safety. The Emergency Vision Assurance System is the only cockpit smoke displacement system that is approved and certified by the FAA, EASA and Transport Canada to effectively defend against heavy and continuous smoke emergencies in the cockpit and cabin. Although infrequent, the Flight Safety Foundation ranks these type emergencies as the third highest cause of fatalities. Smoke of unknown origin is also the #1 cause of diversions for ETOPS flights. In 1999 the Air Line Pilots Association in-flight fire project report concluded that there were more than 1,100 in-flight smoke and fire incidents in a 10-month period, causing 360 emergency unscheduled landings, due to smoke, fumes, or fire on-board aircraft.

The alarming rate at which these incidents occur has been addressed by more than 600 operators, including three branches of the US military, a host of fortune 500 corporate flight departments, as well as fleet operators such as the FAA, FedEx, and Net Jets. JetBlue Airways became the first scheduled airline to address the situation head on, and has installed the EVAS System aboard its entire Airbus fleet.

The System is available for all aircraft types and requires virtually no installation. It has earned acceptance in nearly every segment of the aviation community.

EVAS has been manufactured by the VisionSafe Corporation since the late 1980's and is sold by EVASWorldwide, an affiliate of Aircraft Services Group in Mahwah, New Jersey.
