Liberty Aerospace, Inc. unveiled at Oshkosh, the first XL2 fitted with the Wilksch Turbo Diesel. The aircraft, which burns Jet A fuel, is designed to appeal to the fast growing international market place where 100LL is both expensive and hard to obtain. "Our international customers have been very clear to us," commented Keith Markley, President & CEO of Liberty Aerospace, Inc., "They need an alterative fuel to the 100LL for aircraft they are running in their flight training fleets. We know as a fact that many school operators have elected to come to the US for this show to specifically discuss this aircraft and their requirements with us, and we are extremely encouraged by our test market sampling. With Wilksch now being under the leadership of Mike Newton, Founder and CEO of the CCTV and video technology specialists AD Group, we believe we have a development partner who has the expertise and financial capability to get us to market quickly."
