Western Filter, a division of Donaldson Company (NYSE:DCI), announced today that the company's hydraulic filter manifolds for the Gulfstream G650 aircraft have successfully completed Safety-Of-Flight (SOF) testing, a key program milestone.
The Donaldson designed components include three filter manifolds: two primary hydraulic filter manifolds and a separate auxiliary pump filter, as well as bypass valves, shut-off valves, check valves and fluid sampling valves. A key feature of the manifolds is the patented Intelligent Filter Indicator. These indicators provide electronic signals to an on-board computer, allowing the G650 operator the ability to monitor the time remaining before filter element replacement.
"Donaldson worked closely with the Gulfstream technical team to develop the final specifications for the G650 filter manifolds. The complexity of this program has allowed us to demonstrate our advanced engineering capabilities. We provided complex filtration systems while meeting performance, cost and weight requirements" said Sheila Peyraud, General Manager, Aerospace and Defense at Donaldson Company. "We value our relationship with Gulfstream and look forward to working together on future aerospace and defense programs."
