Precise Flight, Inc. is proud to support the fastest and most advanced business aircraft in the skies. This is a new generation Pulselite® lighting system that produces as much light, as the large aircraft industry standard Q4559 Landing Light, with 4 times less power. The unique feature of this landing light system is the ability to "modulate" and not extinguish the light source, this capability is a key component to improving visibility and detection. The lighting system includes the proven Pulselite® technology married to an efficient ballast and integrated reflector design.
Precise Flight pioneered pulsing aircraft landing lights to improve aircraft landing lights 30 years ago and has been active in utilizing this concept to improve the safety of aviation worldwide and in all platforms across the aviation spectrum. The lights have been shown to get the attention of birds and there are reports from operators such a Qantas Airlines that this technology mitigates birdstrike events.
The Landing Light is based on a 150 Watt technology and is being reconfigured to replace existing Par 64 landing lights like those found on Gulfstream GIV and Boeing BBJ aircraft. The lights provide a greater dispatch reliability as landing light life is increased 30 fold from 100 Hrs to greater than 3000 hrs or more. Additionally the lights fail soft unlike traditional landing lights in that light output remains as these new landing lights only dim with age.
The new 150 watt as well as the FAA Approved 70 watt HID Pulsing capability will allow aircraft such as the Cessna Mustang, Bombardier 300, Eclipse 500, Embraer Phenom, Hawker Beechcraft Premier and 800, 850 and 900 models to have incredibly efficient and bright 70 watt HID technology and the capability to pulse modulate those lights for greater visibility in and around traffic.
Precise Flight's recent aviation lighting development places the company and the product at the forefront of lighting design and technology. Our proven systems capability will allow easy certified integration into any aircraft platform. The technology and aviation specific components are set to bring the Pulselite® system to a whole new level of awareness in aviation. "HID lighting is the brightest and lightest technology in the aviation marketplace. HID lighting for aviation produces more light, lasts longer," said Scott Philiben, Vice President of Precise Flight. "There's no question this product, combined with the Patent Pending pulsing technology will result in unsurpassed visual performance for any aircraft."
