PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: Hardide Aerospace Coatings Ltd
We are delighted to announce that our Hardide-A coating has been selected as the replacement for hard chrome plating (HCP) on Airbus A380 compression flap pads. Hardide-A has been developed specifically to meet the needs of the aerospace industry; it is a hard wearing, quality product, environmentally compliant with demonstrable long-term performance qualities.
Philip Kirkham, Chief Executive Officer of Hardide plc, commented: "This is a huge vote of confidence in Hardide after many years of development and hard work by both Hardide and Airbus and signals the start of coating components for Airbus. The selection of Hardide-A introduces a new level of product performance and reduces the overall environmental impact through the removal of hard chrome plated parts. Hardide-A coatings increase the operating life of expensive components with improved performance. We look forward to securing Hardide-A onto other aircraft production parts in the near future."
