Russian Helicopters and the Maritime University will create a research and production cluster

AAC Progress of the Russian Helicopters holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation) and the Maritime State University signed an agreement on the joint creation of the Aviation and Marine Unmanned Systems Research and Production Cluster, which will consolidate competencies in the field of unmanned aircraft and unmanned maritime systems.

The signing ceremony took place at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in the presence of Andrey Boginsky, General Director of the Russian Helicopters holding. The document was signed by the managing director of AAK "Progress" Yuri Denisenko and the rector of the Moscow State University. adm. G.I. Nevelskoy Denis Burov.

The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Far Eastern Maritime Training Centre of the Maritime State University. The head of state got acquainted with the training process, the advanced scientific and technical developments of the institution, and also talked with the cadets.

The agreement provides for cooperation between the university and the enterprise in the field of training and retraining of personnel. In particular, Moscow State University. adm. G.I. Nevelskoy plans to organise pre-university training and vocational guidance in the format of "air-nautical classes". The selection of talented graduates for higher education at the university will be carried out with an orientation towards further professional development at AAK "Progress". In addition, the agreement provides for employees of the enterprise to receive additional professional education at the university, including using distance learning technologies.

The document also assumes the development of cooperation in the field of scientific and innovative activities in such areas as robotics, unmanned systems and hardware and software systems for them, artificial intelligence and others. Within the framework of cooperation, it is planned to conduct research work, implement joint projects in the areas of aviation and marine technologies, as well as create various platforms for the implementation and commercialization of developments (training, production and design centers, business incubators, etc.). The agreement also provides for the introduction of innovative technologies in the production of AAK "Progress" and an increase in its energy efficiency.

"Our consortium with Moscow State University named after Admiral Nevelskoy will give an additional impetus to the development of the entire industry of Primorsky Krai. In the coming years, the plant faces an important task of mastering civilian helicopter construction, and for its solution we will actively use the capabilities of the cluster," stressed Andrey Boginsky, General Director of the Russian Helicopters holding .
