Aeromot signs a protocol of intent with the Government of RS to enable a technological and aircraft assembly center in Guaíba

Aeromot's industrial plant will be in the Industrial District of Guaíba and foresees an investment of R$ 300 million.

With investments estimated at R$ 300 million, Aeromot signed, this Wednesday (29/06), a protocol of intentions with the Government of the State of Rio Grande do Sul to enable an aeronautical technology center that will have an aircraft assembly unit . The document, signed by Aeromot's CEO, Guilherme Cunha, and by Governor Ranolfo Vieira Jr., establishes that the unit will be in the Industrial District of Guaíba and, only in the first phase of the project, will receive a contribution of around R$ 80 million.

“With the growth of Aeromot, from the redirection of business and having partnerships with large international manufacturers, the company had an important boost. This center for technological development and aircraft assembly is the realization of a very well-grounded, planned plan that seeks to regain the leading role of Rio Grande do Sul in the aeronautical market”, highlights the CEO of Aeromot, Guilherme Cunha.

After completing the stages of environmental licensing and approvals by the civil aviation regulatory bodies, the work on the project should start as early as 2023. In all, around 1,300 jobs will be generated, 500 of which are direct jobs and 800 indirect.

In addition to assembling aircraft and manufacturing Aeronautical components and parts, the enterprise will also be a propitious environment for the development of offset programs, technology transfer and research and development.

Aeromot is a traditional supplier of multi-purpose aircraft, known as “multimission” aircraft, having supplied aircraft with these capabilities to various public agencies, such as: Fire Brigades of MG and RO, Police Officers of RS, RN, RJ and the Federal Police. In addition, the company consolidated itself in the market as one of the main sellers of new aircraft in Brazil, mainly for the private sector. In all, the company delivered 47 units in the last five years. Another 32 aircraft, including planes and helicopters for public safety and private owners, will be delivered over the next three years.
