PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings
Three new coatings, all Airbus approved or in the approval process, have been launched by ANAC (AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings).
Part of the Aviox® Advanced series, they are a new non slip walkway coating, a matt clear exterior finish and a semi-gloss aluminium.
Aviox Non Slip is a three-component polyurethane walkway coating used to provide a safe protected surface on marked over-wing escape routes and cargo floor panels. It is supplied in a choice of colours and is approved to Airbus specification AIMS 04.04.024. The new coating can be applied by regular air-spray techniques and will eventually replace Aerodur® Non Slip
Aviox Matt Clear is a two-component, high solid durable matt polyurethane clear-coat to provide solar glare protection. It is particularly useful on the aircraft's nose to prevent reflections from the sun causing discomfort and interfering with the pilot's vision. The product is in the process of achieving approval at Airbus
Aviox SGL Aluminium is a three-component durable semi-gloss aluminium finish designed for use on landing gears. This new line is approved to Messier Dowty PCS 2530 specification.
All three products conform to the Aviox® Advanced requirements of high solids technology, minimum process times and reduced process cycle costs.
