Issued by: Green Charter 2022
Kanbrick, the long-term investment partnership focused on investing in and building founder- and family-owned businesses, today announced a strategic partnership with Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI), a provider of materials testing and calibration services for mission-critical industries. Kanbrick will partner with current owners, the McVaugh and Hiller families, to accelerate the company’s growth plans.
For more than 40 years, LTI has been dedicated to delivering peace of mind through error-free, on-time comprehensive materials testing services to key sectors including aerospace, space, defense, and power generation.
“We’re excited to partner with Kanbrick to continue our growth as we set out to become the leading provider of materials testing and calibration services,” said Brandon McVaugh, CEO of LTI. “Kanbrick’s focus on partnering with family-owned businesses and creating long-term value makes them the ideal fit for our business. This partnership will support LTI’s plans to serve even more customers while honoring our 40-year legacy and company values.”
LTI was founded in 1984 by Bob McVaugh, who saw a need for reliable providers of materials testing. Now a third-generation family business based in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, LTI has expanded its capabilities and services to support more than 2,000 customers across the U.S. The company has also diversified through strategic acquisitions, including Fracture Technology Associates (FTA), which was acquired in 2017 to strengthen LTI’s leadership in fatigue crack growth and fracture toughness software and hardware systems.
“LTI is a remarkable company with a long-standing reputation for excellence in serving mission-critical industries,” said Tracy Britt Cool, Co-Founder of Kanbrick. “The company has continued to innovate and diversify over the years, delivering consistent growth. We’re proud to partner with the LTI team to build on this success for the long term.”
The Kanbrick team will work closely with CEO Brandon McVaugh and the LTI team to invest in expanding capabilities, enter new markets, and continue building a strong platform providing destructive and nondestructive testing and calibration services.
