PRESS RELEASE
Issued by: SiriNor

Sea Cheetah Corporation and SiriNor AS today announce a formation of Strategic Partnership to develop zero emission hydrogen solutions for emerging Wing in Ground Effect (WIGE) segment coastal and island mobility markets
Thursday, 9 November 2023

The Parties have agreed to collaborate on the development of hydrogen jet propulsion systems for WIGEs, explore synergies and pursue common goals in sustainable transportation globally, based on a combination of the true zero-emission wing-in-ground effect crafts being developed by Sea Cheetah and hydrogen-electric jet turbines being developed by SiriNor. Common efforts to develop marine sustainable travel solutions will be complimented by Sea Cheetah on site green hydrogen production and electricity co-generation technologies and the use of third party solutions.

The Parties believe that the combination of their respective intellectual properties will bring forth one of the most sustainable modes of mass transportation globally. A Sea Cheetah vessel powered by SiriNor’s hydrogen-electric turbines will have neither CO2 nor non-CO2 climate emissions, and it will require next to no aerospace or marine infrastructure thus minimizing land use and eliminating negative effects on biodiversity.

The market for WIGE hydrogen powered vessels is truly global, estimated to exceed tens of thousands through 2033.

Serge Markoff, Sea Cheetah’s CEO, states: “Sea Cheetah is proud to partner with one of the most innovative teams in hydrogen propulsion and looks forward to work with SiriNor to revolutionize passenger and cargo transportation in coastal and island markets which is the domicile of over 60% of the world population and 71% of lnd. The SiriNor team is agile, capable and forward thinking, and we are looking forward to being their first customer and a long-term partner for decades to come.”

SiriNor’s CEO Ivar Aune says: “The prospect of working alongside Sea Cheetah’s team to provide one of the most sustainable modes of mass transportation globally, is extremely exciting. We are very proud that Sea Cheetah have selected our unique, true zero-emission jet turbines for their groundbreaking vessels, and we can’t wait to see them in operation.”
